Dry Chutney : *Flaxseed Chutney*

*NAVRATRI SPECIAL* 

*Flaxseed Chutney* (Serves 3-4)

Flaxseeds are loaded with nutrients. They also have anti-virual and anti-bacterial properties. Here's a simple cutney you can make and store for weeks!

*Ingredients* :
1/4 cup flaxseeds (alsi seeds)
1/4 cup fresh grated coconut or dessicated coconut powder
1/4 cup roasted peanuts (with skin)
1 dried red chilli
1/4 tsp dry mango powder (amchur)
1/4 tsp of powdered rock salt or to taste

*Method* :
Dry roast all the ingredients till fragrant. You will notice that flaxseeds will pop and the coconut will turn light brown. Let the mixture cool before grinding into a dry chutney. Store in airtight container in the fridge. Will last for 2-3 weeks.

*Variation* : If you are not comfortable using flaxseeds during fasting you could use more peanuts or other seeds of choice.
